Here is how we work:

Our members commit to participating in our in-person, four meetings per year GWYL Grant Process, which includes:

Nominating the names of Miami County Charities for GWYL Grants

Reviewing the information about Miami County Charities being considered for a Grant

Attending in-person meetings to hear presentations about the charity

Voting for the charity that they deem most worthy

Donating $100 to the charity selected by the collective group

Present the FACTS! You need to be able to tell the story of the work your organization does in under one minute. Tell us what the charity does, and who benefits.

Tell the HEART STORY! Tie in a personal story of those the charity impacts with the work they do so that the group has a very clear understanding and hopefully a connection to that work.

Tell us about the MONEY! Where will the money go! We are not talking about detailed financial statements but rather a strong description of what the funds will be supporting.

All this in five minutes or less. Remember that we are a group of committed and supportive individuals who want to see you and your nominated charity succeed. Speak from the heart.
