What a meeting looks like
Who can join 

We understand that your time is valuable - so we commit that our meetings will last less than an hour. All members have the opportunity to drop their name in the hat with the hopes of being one of the three members drawn to present on their chosen organization. Each member drawn has five minutes to convince the group to vote for their organization and then the group has five minutes to ask all three presenters questions. Each member then votes for the organization of their choice and all members then write personal checks to the organization receiving the most votes. 

 

Its pretty simple- We Listen, We Vote, and then We Give!

To be a member: 

 

​Anyone! No need to call ahead just come by our next meeting. You can fill out our online membership commitment form or you can pick one up at the meeting.

 

To be a submitted Organization: 

 

You must be a 501(c)3 organization who makes an impact in Miami County and you must have a member in the group to present on your organization!

In order for the selected charity to receive the funds, the selected charity must agree to the following:

  • The selected charity may not use the names of the members for future solicitations or give member information out for any other public use or purpose; and

  • The selected charity must send a representative to a future meeting to explain to the membership how the funds have been used; and

  • The selected charity must send a tax receipt to each individual donor, at the address provided by Give Where You Live.
